[Short story] Rohit's Tiffin

Once there was a school. A teacher was teaching mathematics to the students of 10th class. Rohit was also attending the class but he was thinking about the aloo paratha that his mother packed for lunch. He was just waiting for class to over and eagerly waiting for lunch time. He was thinking about the parathas with butter on it along with pickle(Achaar). Suddenly teacher saw him.

“Stand up” said angry teacher.

Rohit stood up.

Teacher gave him punishment to stand up till the mathematics class will over. Rohit had to remain stand up unwillingly.

Now he could see heads of his entire class looking towards in one direction towards blackboard. Zeroes written on black board and round watch hanging on wall was still reminding him of aloo paratha. Minutes were like hours for Rohit. After few hours, mathematics class was over. It was lunch time. So he immediately opened his bag for Tiffin. But for his surprise there was no Tiffin inside his bag.
“Where is my tiffin?” he asked to himself. He was trying to remind himself about Tiffin.

“Wake up Rohit, wake up…” It was morning and his mother was trying to wake up Rohit.

“Where is my Tiffin? Where are my aloo parathas?” Rohit asked while rubbing his eyes.

“How do know that today I have made aloo paratha for your lunch?” mother asked in surprise.

Without answering his mother’s question, Rohit got up and rushed to kitchen. He took his Tiffin and put inside his school bag.
His mother was watching Rohit in astonishment.
